Last weekend saw a local derby between our u16s and Moulton Magpies. The boys carried on their good form and went into a comfortable two goal lead at the half, both scored by the in-form Kieron Gibbs. The second half saw moulton come back and score three goals in quick succession as Brixworth faultered. However, they regained their composure with a nicely created goal finished by Jordan King to make it 3-3. As the game moved into the final 10 minutes, the game on a knifes-edge, Moulton striker Dan Webb had the goal beckoning for him to slot it home, but along came Jude Hillier with a last ditch tackle saving a certain goal. Brixworth began to press forward and earned a free kick with time running out, and from the resulting free kick Jordan King got his second goal with a majestic strike into the top far corner. A well deserved 4-3 victory for the team that played all of the football.
