Club Day A Great Success

Just to say as secretary of the club how impressed I was with the turn out of the parents, grandparents, friends and family, indeed all supporters on our 25th Anniversary club day. It was an absolutely fantastic day and enjoyed I am sure by everyone. Thanks to all the coaches and volunteers who helped on the day and a special thanks to Louisa Nycz of Cakery Bay for making such a tasty and superb looking cake.

The day went off without any hitches, good fun football played and even the veterans put on a delight of a match versus our u18s. The team consisted of a good deal of players who were in some of the youngest age ranges when the club was formed way back in 1992. The veterans even ran out eventual winners, despite the best efforts of the referee trying to help the juniors at least score a goal!! (Yes that was me reffing!)

Another great fun time was had by the children, as a coach of the village I am not sure who came up with the delightful idea of soak the coach, but many of the players gladly stepped forward on multiple occasions to soak their coaches! Still all the proceeds go to a good cause and of course us coaches shall have the last laugh when we get them all back to training in August!!

Thanks again to everyone who helped support the club from Raffle tickets/bouncy castle/soak the coach etc the list goes on, it was a great day and once again THANK YOU!
